Your cat and the CatGenie

For those who do not want to worry about cleaning a classic cat litter box, do not want to constantly buy cat litter in pet stores, clean a classic cat toilet and burden our environment with used cat litter, there is the CatGenie cat litter box with automatic flushing. The modern cat litter box does not use ordinary disposable litter, but hygienic and biodegradable washable granules that do not need to be changed and are easy to rinse; in addition, they satisfy the cat's need to scratch. The cat litter box works automatically: it flushes feces, washes itself and dries. The owner of the cat and the automatic cat litter box does not have to do anything more for its hygiene and their own clean home than press a button here and there and add cleaning solution. The automatic cat litter box allows you to set several cleaning modes according to current needs. It is not intended for just one cat, and is therefore also suitable for households with several cats. The automatic flushing cat toilet is recommended by experienced breeders and veterinarians.

With a cat litter box, it's the same as with all modern household appliances: we've been doing without them for a long time, and we have to admit that our household functioned without them. We just had to sacrifice a lot of time to laundry, dishes, mopping the floor and similar activities that we usually don't enjoy and that keep us from doing more enjoyable work. Do you still remember the time when you didn't have an automatic washing machine, dishwasher or robot vacuum cleaner? Would you change it, or can you no longer imagine your household without these devices? Once you try an automatic cat litter box, you will divide your life into two fundamental stages: without a cat litter box and with one.

Instead of regularly taking out cat feces, you just have to press buttons. No more cat litter, dust, odor and germs.

Every cat is different. From our experience with over 100,000 cats, we know that most cats will quickly understand what the device is for and start using it. If the CatGenie is placed in the same place as their original litter box, the cat will get used to it much more quickly. Some cats need more time to get used to something new. During the adjustment period, it is common for a cat not to go to the toilet for the first 24 to 48 hours. Do not make a fuss around the CatGenie. Behave naturally. Let your cat show curiosity. Do not stand around or follow your cat when it goes to the toilet. If it uses the CatGenie, praise it and reward it with a treat.

1) If your cats do not use the CatGenie right away, place their original litter box nearby. Do not clean the old box. The dirtier it is, the more likely it is that cats will prefer the CatGenie. Once your cats start using the CatGenie litter box, remove the old litter box after five days. Please note the Important note at the bottom of this page.

Warning: Do not mix used or unused cat litter with washable granules in the CatGenie bowl. Any other litter will seriously damage the device and void your warranty.

TIP: If your cat does not want to use granules, mix them with regular litter, but only in its original litter box. Once the litter box with granules is dirty, empty the entire contents of the box.

2) During the first week, it may be better to start the device when your cats are sleeping. The new sound may scare them. Over time, cats will associate this sound with their new and always clean toilet.

3) Until your cats get used to the CatGenie automatic toilet, start cleaning by pressing the START button. Soon you will be able to program the automatic cleaning modes Cat Start or Auto Start. For more information, see the instructions on page 7.

Information: The most convenient cleaning mode is “cat-activated”

In “cat-activated” mode, one container is sufficient for 240 doses and test results show that the device works best in this mode.

If you choose the Auto Start mode, proceed as follows: 1 cat: clean once to twice a day; 2 cats: clean three to four times a day; 3 cats: clean four to five times a day. In Auto Start mode, one container is sufficient for 120 doses. For more information, see the instructions on page 7.

Important

While your cat is getting used to the operation of the CatGenie cat litter box, it is important to run at least two cleaning cycles per cat per day. Run the cleaning even if you do not see any excretions, as urine is not visible on the biodegradable washable granules.

What to expect during cleaning

• The bowl rotates alternately left and right
• Racking cycle: The GenieHand plastic sieve rakes through the granules three times, removing solid waste. Approximately 7 minutes.
• Wash cycle: After solid waste is removed, water begins to flow into the washable granule bowl. The GenieHand plastic sieve uses SaniSolution to wash the granules and bowl. The sieve's movement agitates the granules. Solid waste is liquefied in the hopper. Water and waste drain. The inside of the bowl is rinsed clean. Approximately 11 minutes.
• Dry cycle: The plastic sieve rakes through the granules throughout the drying process. Approximately 17 minutes.
