Activation

You can choose from three options:

Cat Activated - In this mode, the cycle starts after each use. This way, your device can never be dirty, smelly or full of germs. This setting is also the most convenient because the 120 Cartridge automatically sets the SaniSolution concentrate doses to 240. It's like having two cartridges in one. Tests have shown that the device works ten times more efficiently in this mode.
Automatic Activated - This mode allows you to start the system one to four times a day, depending on the number of cats. It starts either once every 24 hours, or every 12 hours, every 8 hours or every 6 hours depending on whether you set the device to 1, 2, 3 or 4 cycles per day. In this mode, the cartridge releases 120 doses of SaniSolution solution.
Manual Start with Button - Whenever you want to start a cleaning cycle, press the START button. This is a convenient addition to the other start options and can be used, for example, in Sleep Mode or between automatic activation cycles. This makes it easier to maintain 100% hygiene. In this program, the dispenser releases 120 doses.

“CAT ACTIVATION” mode

In this mode, the cleaning cycle is started ten minutes after the cat uses the bowl. If another cat needs the bowl in the meantime, the unit resets and the cycle starts ten minutes later, etc. The device cannot start if there is a cat in the bowl. This is done by the Genie Eyes optical sensor.

When activated by a cat, the tank automatically switches from 120 doses to 240. Since the device is cleaned immediately after use, less cleaning solution is needed.

The cat activation mode uses two modes: 14 hours of active mode and 10 hours of sleep mode. In active mode, the device is cleaned after the cat uses it, while in sleep mode, automatic cleaning does not start. However, you can of course press the START button at any time during these ten hours. When switching to active mode, cleaning will automatically start if the cat has used the bowl during sleep mode.

“AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION” mode

In this mode, you set the CatGenie cat litter box to automatically start cleaning one to four times in 24 hours. Once programmed, cleaning will start automatically at the set time.

This mode runs on a timer, so programming must be done at a selected cleaning time. For example, if you choose to start the cycle at 2pm and 2am, then the mode must be set to either 2pm or 2am. When setting the mode, it is important to follow the table on the left and observe when your cats use the bowl so that you can better adapt the cleaning time to their needs.

One cat - clean twice a day
Two cats - clean four times a day
Three cats - clean six times a day

When is the best time to start your cycles?

Cats usually go to the toilet within half an hour of their main meal. Experts say that cats sleep 15-20 hours a day (70% of the time). Keep an eye on your cat’s behavior and choose a time to activate so that it doesn’t disrupt their routine.

NOTE: If your cat is using the bowl at the time the cleaning cycle is scheduled to start, the CatEyes sensor will pause the cycle. Once your cat (or other cats) have left the bowl, the device will wait another ten minutes before starting the cleaning cycle.
